HERALDING HEBRON UNITED FC SPORTING
This is introducing a new football club: Hebron United FC Sporting based in Abak, Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria to the world. Following the approval and granting of Certificate of Incorporation by the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, we hereby unveil to the fans and supporters, an enduring heritage – Hebron United FC Sporting, a unique organisation with global passion for Football.
HISTORY
Between 2008 and 2015, Hebron Football Academy was first used to promote talents scouting. Occasionally, the Academy was moulding the players into a successful team.
During the period, the Academy participated in Akwa Ibom State Football League for the 2013/2014 season. Subsequently, in 2014/2015 season, the Academy emerged runner up in the State League Cup providing the highest goal assist and the highest goal scorer in the run to final place. Amongst the players were Godwin Godwin Inyang, Manaseh Ibokette, Ejimafor Itumo, Otobong Usoroh, Augustine Obi and Akaninyene Emmanuel were part of the squad.
Some of the players scouted and supported by the Academy have been considered in various clubs in the Nigerian League and the National Team. Notable among these players is Imo Obot Udo – DAKKADA FC, ENYIMBA FC and Nigeria Super Eagles Team B.
With little financial support base for the Academy’s activities, between 2016-2017, notable corporations were approached and a two-year shirts sponsorship deal and working relationship were secured. Between June 2017 and June 2019, the Academy’s sustenance was augmented.
The promotion of products and services of the corporate bodies on social media platforms between July 2019 and December 2019 attracted more than10,000 followers which added to the pedigree and value of the Academy.
The Academy became inactive between 2020-2023 for lack of funding as it was expanding. It vanished the economic right of the players that were supposed to be its real asset due to non-performance of agents who were contracted to sign the players and find clubs for their employment contracts. Precisely, the market value of the Academy at that time was declining with no tangible assets.
Hebron Football Academy was signed off and transferred to new ownership for the purpose of ensuring that its core mandate was preserved and pursued. Hence, Hebron United FC Sporting was birthed.
OWNERSHIP
Hebron United FC Sporting Limited is owned by Dr Ini Etim Usoroh who is based in England, United Kingdom. He is the Chief Executive Officer and President of the organisation. Hebron United FC Sporting Limited was incorporated in December, 2023.
Dr Usoroh, with his entrepreneurship abilities and vision; working diligently alongside with courageous, passionate and dedicated team mates, has run the club with aggregates that determine its value and net worth. These comprise of players, camp, team bus, training kits and equipment, facilities etc. These aggregates have positioned the club towards envisaged active progression.
GROUND: COMSECO Sports Complex, Ediene, Abak L.G.A.
IDENTITY: Crested Hebron badge takes the form of a green star-studded football encircled by purple with white Hebron United FC Sporting lettering.
COLOURS: The combination of green, white and black colours makes the colours more modern and distinctive. Hebron home jersey is green with white-striped shirts worn with green short and white socks. The away colours are white shirt with black shorts worn with black socks.
SUPPORT: The traditional base of fans comes from all the Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State as well as other parts of Nigeria. As of 2019, Hebron had more than10,000 followers on social media.
